  • Great ways to pay: Meet, manage, or lower your education costs with scholarships, financial aid for those who qualify, military benefits, and other financing and payment options.
  • Discounted tuition for federal employees: Federal employees and their spouses and dependents receive a 25 percent discount on out-of-state tuition for most programs.5
  • Transfer credits for prior learning: We accept up to 70 credits from two-year schools and up to 90 credits from four-year universities. You can also receive credit for your military experience and training and through credit by examination.
  • Scholarships for community college graduates: Eligible Maryland community college graduates can earn a bachelor's degree for $12,000 or less.
  • Go textbook-free: We've replaced all of our textbooks for undergraduate courses with no-cost eResources and will replace all of our graduate textbooks with no-cost eResources by fall 2016.
